It’s so easy, even a PC user can do it!
You know me, guys - I like stuff that looks geeky, accomplishes something I want to do, but is easy and stress-free.
I wanted to do a presentation on blogs for this group, but damn, this Tumblr thing is so easy, and will do pretty much anything most of us users want it to do.
It takes about a minute to sign up for, and after that, this is cake! I put a tumblr bookmarklet in my bookmarks menu in Safari, and as long as I’m logged in to tumblr (which is pretty much all the time) all that needs to be done to add a post is a one-click operation.
So why do I think EVERYONE can use this? Well, if you want to keep in touch with anyone, share you photos in the easiest way possible, share information, websited, quotes, messages from you, videos, audio files, or basically anything else with anyone else, this is your baby.
Of all the things I’ve ever used on the web, this is the easiest.
Say you want to share a photo of your grandchildren with all the people you communicate with. So what if the kid is uglier than sin, it’s your grandkid, right? You just click on the bookmarklet (more about that in the presentation), navigate to the photo, and it automatically uploads it, and lets you add a title and commentary.
It’s 100% free. You don’t need to “host” a blog anywhere and pay for bandwidth or anything like that.
